For teachers
Fully adaptable for teachers of all experience levels. Accommodate different class sizes, abilities, or timetable constraints without compromising core learning outcomes. Charanga takes pride in ensuring the responsibility of teaching music is a joyful and rewarding experience for you and your students.
For learners
Musical achievement relies on hard work and dedication. Charanga ensures students’ musical journeys focus on playing and creating music, not on reading about others doing it. Learners can enjoy a variety of practical musical experiences and opportunities while fostering a love of music.
Partnerships
Why do national and state governments, Scottish Instrumental Music Services, educators, publishers and industry professionals work with Charanga? For over 25 years, they have had an unrivalled track record of helping organisations improve access, inclusion, equity, and standards in music and expressive arts education.
Inspiring future musicians with the RSNO
Working with Scotland’s national orchestra, Charanga wants to help more young people in Scotland experience the exhilaration of live orchestral music. Access a suite of bespoke educational materials alongside the RSNO’s most popular digital education resources.
Making a difference
Charanga is an ethical business, committed to social responsibility and to championing Scotland's rich musical heritage and vibrant cultural output. Join us in our mission: to help every child and young person in Scotland engage meaningfully with music and the arts, and build skills that last a lifetime.
Everyone should be able to enjoy music from the earliest possible age. We’re working with Charanga to inspire future musicians, new audiences, and the next generation of music lovers.
Celebrating the best of Scotland
Charanga Scotland is more than a platform of teaching resources and educational technology. Its content celebrates Scottish music, connecting the artistic and educational work of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra – and, increasingly, other National Performing Arts Companies – directly with classrooms across the country.
These videos offer a glimpse of what children experience, and show how teachers can use Charanga to build learners’ real-world skills progressively, measurably, and above all, enjoyably.
